In 2003, thanks to the specific applications of Father Stephen to realize
a well for the Clinic St Damien, is defined inside the association St.
Damiano, a technical group constituted by architects, geologists, engineers
and specialized technicians in the sectors of the housebuilding and
the hydraulic one.
The purpose, is that to appraise the possibility to realize a well for
the provisioning of the clinic in complete autonomy in comparison to
the water system of the city, often insufficient and discontinuous for
the primary demands of a hospital group, over how too much onerous for
a based economic management on the humanitarian helps of many European
supporters.
It departs so the "Project Well": a medium-term project that
he intends to realize within an one year time temporal frame.
Primary objective of the technical group is that not to interfere too
much with the local reality: to bring improvements and innovations in
line with the applications of who work on the field from many years
and that it knows the demands of it using the means and the Malagasy
ways. The group is established to be a guide to the autonomy, in the
management of determined practical problems that can facilitate the
same medical activities.
The first deliberation of project is therefore the necessity to know
dettagliatamente the demands of the Clinic and a the possibilities and
a the halves for their realization; for this one geologist, an engineer
and an architect, in August of 2003 they depart for Ambanja, with the
purpose to appraise the possibility to build the well and to make the
point on the state of the art of the hospital unity.

of the water consumptions, the architectural relief and the harvest
of the most greater number of data on the structure and on the environment
to it surrounding that you/they would correctly have served in expectancy
to dimensionare any intervention. The trip immediately the possibility

From the “Project Well” it opens so the most ambitious project
“For Ambanja.”
